The 8-megapixel 4K UHD sensor does this by capturing 4 times more pixels than Full HD, and together with the fast shutter speed, the details are exceptionally sharp, just pause and zoom in on the video.

The Blackvue DR970X dash cam can be hardwired to your vehicle's fuse panel for parking mode without the need to purchase additional accessories. The dashboard camera automatically switches to parking mode after the vehicle ignition is turned off. Power interruption and timer can be set in the BlackVue app .

Additional BlackVue batteries for parking mode

The Blackvue DR970X dash cam is also compatible with all BlackVue parking mode kits and batteries .

Online vehicle monitoring

Thanks to 4G/LTE technology (*it is necessary to purchase an LTE Connectivity module and a data SIM card from your operator) you can track the location and route of your vehicle online, as well as watch a live view from the front and rear Blackvue car cameras . In addition, the camera has a built-in speaker and microphone , which ensures online communication at a distance . In case of movement near the vehicle or its damage, the advanced parking mode system can send a message to your smartphone and thus perfectly protects your vehicle .

High image quality

The front camera has an 8 megapixel CMOS sensor for video recording in 4K Ultra High Definition (3840 × 2160) at 30 FPS , it also offers a 155° angle of view so that you don't miss any detail.

Mobile hotspot function

Turn your Blackvue DR970X-2CH car camera into a Wi-Fi router for your car (required to purchase the LTE Cennectivity module).
With the Mobile Hotspot function, your BlackVue car camera can turn into a mobile Internet router for up to five devices at the same time . This means you and your passengers can now enjoy your Blackvue's internet on your laptop, portable gaming console, tablet or mobile.

To connect to BlackVue, simply open your device's Wi-Fi menu, select BlackVue, and enter your dash cam's Wi-Fi password.

Built-in speaker, impact sensor and motion detection

Speaker : your dash cam tells you when it turns on, turns off, or detects errors.
Accelerometer: detects impacts and triggers event recording. Starts parking mode* when stationary for 5 minutes.
Automatically tags video files: while driving, the built-in accelerometer (G-sensor) detects bumps and sudden changes in speed. While parking, your BlackVue also detects visual movements around your vehicles.
Use filters in the BlackVue app and viewer : BlackVue tags all videos (Normal, Event, Parking Mode, etc.) so you can filter them and quickly find the ones you need in the BlackVue Viewer (Windows, Mac OS, Web ) or the BlackVue App (Android, iOS) .

Your videos are safe

Event file overwriting protection: dashcams record in a loop and overwrite older files when the memory is full. BlackVue can prevent event files (triggered manually or by crashes) from being overwritten. Up to fifty (50) files can be protected in this way . You can choose to allow new event files to overwrite past event files, thus preserving the last fifty.

Adaptive file management without formatting: this file system developed by BlackVue improves recording stability and requires less microSD card formatting.

SD card failure notification: your BlackVue will detect that the microSD card is broken and will alert you with a voice prompt "Please check SD card".

Tamper-Proof Case (optional)

The tamper-resistant case (reference number: BTC-3A) is a security accessory that blocks physical access to the microSD card slot and prevents disconnection of the power and coaxial cables, greatly reducing the risk of data tampering.

Note: The BTC-3A replaces the original mount for the dash cam.

The BlackVue car camera automatically switches to parking mode to monitor your parked vehicle.
Thanks to the video buffer, a few seconds leading to the triggering of events are also recorded.

The DR970X-2CH car camera supports two parking mode options:

Parking mode with motion and impact detection (recognizes both):

Motions recorded by the image sensor (marked "P" in the file list).
Shocks detected by the accelerometer / G-sensor (marked "E" in the file list).
Choose detection areas to reduce the risk of triggering unwanted motion recordings due to trees swaying in the wind, distant moving objects, etc.

Time-lapse video

Continuous recording at 1 FPS (one frame per second). Videos are played at 30 FPS.
1-minute video in parking mode with time-lapse video = 30 minutes of real-time coverage.
A 32 GB microSD card can hold more than 54 hours of time-lapse video from the front and rear camera at the highest (extreme) quality setting.
When an impact is detected, the dashcam creates a video of the event in the buffer.

Voice notifications of parking mode events:
After exiting park mode, your BlackVue will tell you if events were recorded while you were away from your car, so you can immediately view event videos in the BlackVue app.

Scheduled restart:
Schedule daily automatic restarts (optional - nightly by default) to minimize potential errors. The restart will only occur if the dash cam is in parking mode and not writing data to the microSD card.

Super Secret:
In parking mode, turn off all LED indicators completely. When motion or impact is detected, only the recording LED light pointing to the interior of the vehicle will flash.
